Deborah Schreiber

I am a freelance illustrator/ author from Munich, Germany, based in Falmouth, England. A nature loving artist, usually covered in paint and always ready for a new adventure, exploring new ideas and working together creatively.

My studies brought me from Munich to Ireland where I studied crafts for 2 years, then over to England with a more focused study on Illustration at the Falmouth University and all the way to Australia for a semester abroad in between. Since then I have completed my BA in Illustration and MA in Authorial Illustration and am now focusing on freelance projects.

My playful work is hugely inspired by my fascination and love for our planet as well as human emotions. Everything from wildlife and nature to travel, cultures and their stories and a more recently focus on combining all this visually while introducing thoughts on mental and emotional health.

My work feeds from personal experiences and a colourful imagination - all with an aim to produce atmospheric illustrations, introducing and tackling more serious topics in a playful manner.

When I am not drawing or daydreaming I can often be found working with children, giving art and craft workshops in Munich.
